AUDIO AMPLIFIER

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A fully discrete 2W single channel Class AB audio frequency power amplifier designed to play sound through low impedance loads such as speaker with minimal distortion. Implemented with negative feedback topology and a push pull Darlington output stage.

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT

Circuit Design Lead

  • Designed amplification circuit with SPICE and performed relevant calculations with knowledge from 30.106 Microelectronics Circuits and Devices

  • Translated circuit schematic into Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout using KiCAD 

  • Performed troubleshooting and measurements with oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
